We decided to surprise the kids with a very random mini vacation to San Antonio for the 4th of July weekend. We started our day out with breakfast at McDonald's of coarse, then off we went. Our next stop was Sea World. We didn't tell them a thing, just drove into the park. Maci, a kindergarten graduate and excellent new reader, saw the signs as we approached and began yelling to Payton that we were going to Sea World!!! They were super excited! Payton wanted to see some real, live dolphins! Maci didn't care what she saw, she was just overcome with gratitude for getting to be there. Payton was a little bit of a pill while we were there, but overall adored her time there. Maci was AMAZING, and boy did she soak it all up! Blake was the world's greatest baby, never let out a single whimper our entire trip! Alan and I adored getting to be there with our wonderful kiddos. Its kinda great getting to be the mom on these kinds of trips. Anyway, We were at the park until closing and then headed to our hotel. The girls slept together and didn't make a peep...weird! :) The next morning we went to The Riverwalk. We had breakfast at a Starbucks there and then spent the day walking, and walking, and walking! It was fabulous. We had lunch right on the riverwalk and then continued on with our walking. We toured the Alamo and Maci loved hearing all about that part of Texas history. We finished up our time in San Antonio with a little ice cream while we came up with a plan to extend our little mini vacation. We headed out to Gruenne, TX to have dinner at The Gristmill. It was a completely wonderful end to a completely wonderful weekend! Once we got back to town, we spent July 4th with Ron and Cindy. We enjoyed an afternoon of swimming and a delicious meal at Papadeaux. Just in case you couldn't tell, I simply adore my sweet family and all the fun we get to have together!

How fun!!!! Surprise trips are the best. Glad y'all enjoyed your family time. :)
I'm sorry you gave us your double stroller! Looks like you had to get another one! We keep it at my parent's house and it's a life saver there, but I feel bad! OH well. Looks like you had so much fun. Miss you
