Daddy's Little Princesses

Daddy, here they are...your very own Princesses!!! Today the girls got to wear their costumes to school for a mini Fall Festival. They had some fun activities to participate in and really seemed to enjoy themselves. Unfortunately their daddy had to miss out on the fun due to a business trip to San Fransisco. This is for him so that he can see his little princesses in action. My mom is in town while Alan is out of town, so I would normally have left the girls with her, but since the school was having a party I sent them to that. At lunch, they got to go get Chick-Fi-La with Mimi and skip nap time at school. They were very beautiful, in my opinion.

This is a picture of Maci doing a scooter relay that she really was not in to.
This picture really cracked me up because it looks a little like my Maci is already standing at the alter lighting a unity candle instead of shooting little balls off of a stick, which is what she is actually doing. Don't they look hilarious together??? (sorry Alan)
I got a moment with the Princess!
Payton is tossing bean bags into a lion's mouth.
This is a pretty funny story too...when Payton arrived to her class this morning, she promptly took off her necklace and gave it to a little boy, and then took off her crown and gave it to the little girl across from her at the baby pool (who is still wearing it.) Her teachers and I got a real kick out of the matter-of-factness about her actions. She's a hoot. Anyway, they both had a great time and we are looking forward to the BIG Fall Festival tomorrow. Thankfully daddy will be home in time to join us! We miss him tons! I will no doubt have better pictures of them tomorrow.

Fall Family Photos

We went with the Powell's to a local Pumpkin Patch tonight to get a few Fall family pictures. They took some for us and we took a few for them. I was glad that even though Alan missed out on Dewberry Farms this week, we still got to get some pictures together in the pumpkins. Thank you Matt and Tara! I look forward to seeing the pictures they got tonight as well (especially the ones of sweet little Reid...he was so cooperative for his mommy!)

These last few pictures are just a couple of sweet poses in new Fall clothes! I wanted to be able to show Alan how the girls started their day (I knew they wouldn't look quite the same after a long day at school.)

The Pumpkin Patch

Well, thanks to rain last week, our trip to Dewberry Farms was cancelled and rescheduled for today. That made my little girls very happy because we were dealing with bronchitis last week and wouldn't have been able to go. We all had an absolute blast today. The girls got to go on a hayride, pick a baby pumpkin, visit a petting farm, bounce on the world's largest pillow, ride a corn cob train, play on child-sized tractors, climb through a fort, and race mini go carts. They were very sad to leave, but had a great time while we were there.

We certainly love the Fall and all the fun activities that come with it. The Pumpkin Patch is the first of many of our sweet traditions for this wonderful time of the year. (I can just smell Christmas coming!!!)

What a BEAUTIFUL Weekend!

I absolutely LOVE the Fall. We don't get to enjoy cool weather very often here in Houston, but this weekend's little cool front was very nice. We went to Austin to hang out with my parents for the weekend and got the chance to hang out in the beautiful weather a little bit. We also took the kiddos to Chuck E. Cheese to have a little playtime, and then took them to Build A Bear to get Snuggles (Maci's bear) a new wardrobe now that she has mastered dressing and undressing her. Payton was not quite herself all weekend...she has a pretty nasty case of bronchitis that we've been treating for about a week now. She had a good time for a little one not feeling so good. I look forward to more fun Fall weather.

These pictures were taken after dinner Friday night at Salt Grass. They have a fun little area that the kids enjoyed playing in with large rocks and an old wagon.

We took the girls to Chuck E. Cheese on Saturday after the Tech Football Game. Go Tech!!! They had a great time playing all the games.

Maci is dressing Snuggles in the new outfit she bought her.

Payton is pretending to dress a random dog she found, just like Maci...everything these days is "just like Maci."

This is a sad little picture of Payton receiving a breathing treatment for her bronchitis. We are just glad she could be treated at home for it. Most of the time she sits still and watches tv, but every now and then she realizes she'd rather be playing and its a bit of a struggle to get her to sit there for 15 minutes. Hopefully we will get a better report from the Dr. this week and get to quit the treatments altogether.
This is a beautiful (in my opinion) picture of the girls all dolled up for picture day at school. I thought they looked so cute I just had to share.
