1st Day of Swim Lessons

The girls started swim lessons today! They had so much fun and really learned a lot in just the first lesson. After their wonderful teacher (they really loved her) left, they continued to swim for quite a while, but for the first time ever without any floaties on. Payton really impressed me at how much she was able to do after the teacher left. Maci had started to do a little without floaties last year, but Payton always just sunk like a rock to the bottom. She paid really close attention today and tried so hard to do what she was supposed to. So cute! I can't wait to see how they do tomorrow!

We had to stay in the house during the lesson, but I got a couple of pics before they started! My beautiful girls...they are amazing! My Maci!! Isn't she getting prettier every day!! I love watching her grow to such a sweet big girl! The Dude wanted in the water too, so I let him. He LOVED it! He was soooo mad when I finally took him out. He's gonna have a blast this summer! The girlies sitting in the new chairs Grandma got them!Mrs. Lynsey about to start the lesson! He loved splashing! He's crawling as fast as he can away from Payton, laughing hard all the way!He decided to dive off into the deeper part. No worries, I scooped him out just after his face went in, but it didn't bother him one bit! He thought it was hysterical and tried over and over again to do the same thing. Silly boy!Going for the edge again!! Fearless!

Getting So Big!!

We were having steak for dinner on Sunday, and normally the kids eat chicken while we have steak. This time Maci asked for steak too, and really enjoyed her grown up meal. She was about finished and wanted a couple more tomatoes and all of a sudden, her little tooth came out! My baby lost her first tooth! She was so excited and so proud! She looks so grown up with her missing tooth! It is so hard for me to believe she is big enough to be losing teeth! It all just goes by way too fast! Anyway, here is a picture of my baby's first missing tooth! Isn't she a doll?!?!

Poolside Cookout!!

On Sunday, we had a wonderful day with the family at the Meers'. We let the girls get in their first swim of the season, and then we enjoyed a nice steak dinner. When all the fun was wrapping up, Grandma and Papa gave the kiddos some very fun Easter gifts and then we all took in a little yogurt at Orange Leaf (a new favorite of ours.) It was a beautiful day!

Payton enjoyed the pool more than anyone, staying in at least an hour longer than everyone else. She was also the first one to test the water by diving off the diving board, crazy girl! Maci had a great time too! She gets more and more beautiful as the days go by! Love that sweet smile!
Alan only lasted a few minutes before he hit the showers and decided it best to party beside the pool instead of inside the pool! :)

This kiddo is eating his Easter goodies!

Watching the kids play in the pool...we decided not to let him in this time...we'll give it a few more days to warm up!

Waterbug!

First dive of the day...these pics are out of order...oh well!

Payton is yelling at Maci not to jump in off the diving board, she's warning her that it is too cold and she won't like it! Payton is always looking out for her big sister!

Spring Fun!

We got to spend a second weekend in a row with my family. I think it was even more active than the first! (The first we spent the day at Austin Park and Pizza riding rides and playing games!) This weekend, my sister and her family and mom and dad came to visit and we went to Kemah. We got all day passes for the rides and had a blast! The girls are tall enough for nearly every ride now, so it was especially fun for them! Such a fun day!Mom and dad wanted some nice pics of them with all 4 of their grandkids, so I got the chance to take those for them. Snuggling with my boy!! Blake's first hair cut in a salon. He was so, so, so super sweet! He barely made a peep, and was so still! Alan was excited to take him in for the first of many big boy haircuts! Its going to be a father/son thing, I just had to get pics of the first! :)The new cut!!! Love him! This is my scrapbook page for Blake's 1st birthday theme! I made a very similar invitation for him!

March Madness!!

Well, we began the month by hosting 10th grade boys for Disciple Now. I don't have any pictures of that except for Blake during D-Now. He got trapped under the bar stool in this picture. He was quite upset until he saw how funny I thought it was...then he found a little of the humor in it!! Adorable!Blake is watching the 10th grade boys play in the back yard! Look how big he looks standing in that window!!The next weekend, the demo began! Alan and his dad took out the entry tile and the living room carpet so that they could lay beautiful hardwood floors. This project was a BIG one!!! Blake got a front row seat to the clean up!Look at that mess! A month later, I am still cleaning up dust from this project!Making great progress...slowly getting there! Ask Alan how much he loves that glue!! Hahaha! The gorgeous finished product! While he was at it, he took down the tile surround around the fireplace and installed this beautiful tumbled marble mosaic tile.Posing for a pic on the new floors while daddy works on the trim! Can you say C-U-T-E!!!!I got the kids' Easter outfits and needed a new pic for the fireplace. The girls were angelic for this little photoshoot of mine...their brother, on the other hand, was a toot!!! We laughed so hard at all his goofiness. In this one, they are posing so pretty (with huge hopes for cookies when they get home ;) ) and he is making his get away! In these pics, I wanted them to all stand holding hands...not with this little guy!!! He thought it was hilarious to pull as hard as possible against them! Maci was laughing so hard and so were we! (Payton started not feeling well and wasn't quite as amused!)

The 3 biggest blessings ever!!! My cup runeth over!!
Just chillin!!!
Blake insists on having something random in his mouth as he crawls around the playroom. For a long time, it was puzzle pieces. If it falls out, he stops, puts it back in, then continues on his way. My little puppy dog!Look how big my baby girl is getting!!! While we weren't looking, she grew so much!Blake is 10 months old!
