THE PRINCESS PARTY!!!

PAYTON IS TWO!!!
We celebrated Payton's 2nd birthday with family and a few friends on Saturday November 15th. Payton's grandparents got a Princess bounce house for her little party. She and the other kiddos LOVED it. ( I actually think the adults had more fun in it than the kids did.) Payton really enjoyed her birthday cake and balloons, too. She'd been talking about them all week before the party, so she was very excited to see the cake and balloons on Saturday. It was a very sweet party. I think Payton really enjoyed herself!

There's a funny story behind this picture...let's just say that the princess themed party was not a random idea. We picked it because its the most fitting theme to represent life with sweet Payton the past 2 years. Anyway, Princess Payton was in the middle of opening her gifts, when she decided that before she could open another gift, one of her faithful subjects must bring her some "ice water" at once. And, quickly, that is what they did. She opened the rest of her gifts with her ice water in tow.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PRINCESS!!!

Has it Really Been 2 Years???

Two years ago today, our sweet Payton was born. I cannot believe my BABY is 2!! The four of us celebrated her special day from sun up to sun down. We started the day off with a gift. Payton is a HUGE doll girl. She loves them and for about a month now, every time we asked her what she wanted for her birthday she would say, "A baby." We would follow that with "What do you think you would name her?" To which she always responded, "Baby Moses." Very funny. Well, while she was opening her gift we asked her what she thought it was and she said, "Its my Baby Moses!" When she got it open and saw her American Girl Bitty Twin, she said "Its Baby Moses!" Her entire face lit up! It was priceless! Anyway, we had a backup name for the baby in case she was willing to let us give the doll a girl name, so in the car on the way to her birthday breakfast at McDonald's we asked her if she wanted the baby to be Moses or Sarah. She went back and forth for a little bit and we thought we'd just leave it as Moses (even though we knew that when she's older she'd give us a hard time for letting her girl doll be Moses.) By the time we arrived at McDonald's she was determined that Sarah was better for her than Moses (although she slipped several times throughout the day and called her Moses anyway). So Sarah it is, though I think we'll keep Moses as a nickname. Well, we had breakfast at McDonald's and let the girls play for a while. Then we left and went to Payton's 2 year check up where we were told she has an ear infection and is cutting a molar (suddenly the last week of misery was making sense). The Dr. also bragged about what a very smart little girl we have (which we are fully aware of) then we were off to our house for lunch and naps. After a nap we headed out to Chuck E Cheese for a birthday dinner where the girls had a ton of fun. (Although, we really need to come up with some other special places to take them, we tried to come up with something else, but ended up doing the old stand by.) Afterwards, Alan and I took the girls to Baskin Robbins for some ice cream, and home to bed. It was a very nice way to celebrate a very special day. I guess my baby is officially a toddler. I cannot believe how fast time has flown by. We don't have any babies left in the house. Payton is a very special part of our sweet family and we really enjoyed celebrating her day!Happy 2nd Birthday, Payton!!!
